I can complete risk assessments on adult males with convictions or findings against them about sexual offending. However, when protecting children, assessments must be tailored to the individual, combining research, evidence-based practice, and professional judgment. This applies whether the sexual offending occurs online, offline, or both. The goal is to understand behaviour, assess risk, and ensure safety. This approach helps identify what risk looks like and what safety needs to be. Notably, while focusing on the individual, these assessments also include families, recognising their crucial role in the process, especially when they wish to stay together. This inclusive approach may assist courts in making decisions about custody or contact. At Family Matters, we recognise the complexities of abuse and the requirements for ensuring safety now and in the future. For further consultation, please click the Contact Us button.
